Beautiful Concrete Jungle

It's week three of life in the city and I just love it! In the words of Rachel Zoe, “I die.” I'm currently living in Forest Hills, Queens with this broadway star named Hartleigh Buwick. She's okay... and by okay I mean totally awesome and I'm obsessed! The area we live in is stunning. I had no idea you could take a quick train ride out of Manhattan and find HUGE homes with front AND back yards!

Behind our apartment complex lies a busy recreational park, which is fun to walk past... I haven’t attempted to hit around with the neighbors or join in on a game of basketball…

My favorite spot is a little square just down the road with a cozy nook to read in! And a swanky restaurant/bar we just discovered called JADE.

This is cliché, but my ideal day includes any amount of time in Central Park. Either with Kelley Bennett or coffee or a book (currently Eat, Pray Love... I heard the movie wasn't that great...) or nothing but a blanket! This week Hart and I plan to picnic in the park!

Favorite night thus far… Well it started off with Aaron, Hart and Kasey at Blockheads and ended with Karaoke on the Lower East Side! Doesn't get much better than that.

I think I’ve only been to one trendy coffee shop… disappointing… that’s going to have to change. It was in Chelsea, an area that I’m quite fond of!

So, these are a few of my favorite things (oh golly I’m using lines from The Sound of Music…). Oh yeah, our apartment is massive so PLEASE come visit us!
