Decorating Divas!

Thursday was a splendid day! I slept in, like a newly graduated college student should do (that's what I keep telling myself) had a little bite to eat and continued the beast of unpacking slash cleaning out. I was eager for my cousin Dennis (www.dennisergleinteriors.com) to come over and help my mom and me brainstorm about some redecorating that is occurring in our bonus room (now "the boys" room A.K.A Price and Paul's room). When I say "we" brainstormed I really mean Dennis spat out ideas and I agreed with every single one because they were all great. Visualizing change in a room that has pretty much always been the same is difficult. I couldn't picture the furniture anywhere but it's original position. "Designers block" if you will. Anyway, we landed on some paint colors. Aegean teal for the walls and amazon green for some accent pieces. We were able to incorporate so many items that were sitting around the house which is the perfect penny saver (makes mom happy). Also, we are using furniture from my college home. 411 Chautauqua doesn't seem quite as far away:) Huge strides today in the Schwak house! Mom and I are going to prep for paint over the next couple days and hope to be completely done with the room in three weeks. I have a feeling "The Boy's Room" is going to rock! (I'll be sure to document the process and eventually share!)
